Wheeling Votes '24: Cain for Ward 3

Connie Cain is a lifelong Wheeling resident who works for the PDC. Now, she is hoping to become Ward 3's city councilor. Ms. Cain is the only candidate in Ward 3 who agreed to be interviewed.

Follow Wheeling Votes 2024 on Facebook, and follow my Twitter for more of my work including exclusive content. You can check out The Intelligencer’s story intervewing the three other candidates.

Ms. Cain is the only candidate in Ward 3 to respond to Wheeling Free Press’s request for an interview. This is particularly upsetting as this is my home ward. While Wheeling Free Press is not endorsing any candidate, we take great concern with a pattern in the city council race where candidates ignore questions from members of the community.

You can check out The Intelligencer’s story interviewing the candidates for Ward 3.

Next episode we’ll discuss Ward 4, where none of the candidates responded to our request for comment.

Make sure to check out our interviews for mayor, linked below!
